Finding Ways to Communicate Every time I travel to Haiti, I think about how helpful it would be to know some Creole. Most of our Haitian pastors, staff, and children speak Creole, and as a language, it’s similar to French. On a recent trip, I spent a good amount of time looking into online language courses. An Afternoon in Town One afternoon in Haiti, we drove into town for a trip to the store. It took us about fifteen minutes to get there, and on the way, we drove through some busy streets filled with cars, trucks, motorcycles, and people. A Special Time Together Whenever I visit the Children’s Home, I’m reminded of how much our kids love people.
