At Connect 2 Ministries, we’ve developed four core pillars that create a framework for everything we do in ministry. The goal of this series is to highlight each pillar by explaining what it means, why it matters, and how it makes a difference in our ministry.

Biblically Focused

The Bible is our source. We have no wisdom, peace, or hope without it, so all of our ministry necessarily flows from a foundation on God’s Word.

At Connect 2 Ministries, everything we do begins and ends with the Word of God. Our first pillar of ministry—biblically focused—is not just a principle. It is the foundation for everything we do, both in the US and in Haiti. In a world of shifting values and uncertain voices, the truth of Scripture is our trusted guide.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 reminds us: “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” The Bible is not a passive book of suggestions; it is active, living, and true. From Genesis to Revelation, it reveals the character of God, the hope of redemption, and the mission of the Church. When we root our ministry in Scripture, we are aligning ourselves with the will of God.

Jesus Himself modeled this in His ministry. In every teaching and confrontation, He referenced Scripture (Luke 4:1–13). Even after His resurrection, He opened the Scriptures to reveal God’s redemptive plan (Luke 24:27). If our Savior was anchored in the Word, how much more should we be?

Being Biblically Focused means more than quoting Scripture. It means letting the Bible shape our values, our outreach, our programs, and our partnerships. It determines how we disciple, how we pray, how we engage with cultures, and how we measure success—not by worldly standards, but by faithfulness to God’s Word.

Practically, this looks like:

  • Teaching the truth in every training, class, and church service.
  • Equipping local leaders with biblically-saturated resources.
  • Making decisions rooted in biblical discernment, not cultural trends.
  • Holding fast to truth, even when it’s unpopular.

When we are biblically focused, we are not simply offering tangible support—we are offering truth. God’s truth transforms lives. It restores dignity, rebukes injustice, and brings eternal hope. Without the Word, our ministry might be helpful, but it wouldn’t be holy. It might inspire, but it couldn’t save. The world doesn’t need a quick fix to temporal struggles: it needs God’s truth. Being biblically focused ensures we’re not building on sand, but on the Rock (Matt 7:24-27). It’s the difference between temporary relief and eternal impact.

Our first pillar, biblically focused, keeps us humble and grounded in the why that drives our ministry. It reminds us that we are not the solution: Christ is. As we move forward in ministry, may we never lose our grip on the Word, remembering that we’re not just preaching a message—we’re proclaiming the very words of life.
