“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.” —Psalm 1
Pastor Mentor Chrisdonne
Pastor Mentor Chrisdonne was saved as a young man. He prayed for salvation a few times in his early life, starting when he was eleven-years-old, and he believes he truly came to Christ at some point during this period.
Shortly after their marriage, Pastor Chrisdonne and his wife, Emathe, moved to the countryside. They were far away from their church, and they fell into a pattern of going to church only once a week, on Sundays. He slowly began spending less time at church and more time at home, and grew to think less and less about gathering with other Christians to worship God.
On New Year’s Eve in 2001, Pastor Chrisdonne recognized that something needed to change, and he prayed that the Holy Spirit would grow his desire to be at church and help him to be faithful to praise and worship the Lord consistently throughout the year. Pastor Chrisdonne started this pattern right away in his personal life, committing to worship God through song every day, even at home. He bought two drums and his wife soon joined him.
Pastor Chrisdonne and his wife started a lantern business not long after, which is significant because as their products began to fill the house, they had to move outside for their daily times of worship. Soon, people from the community saw them and started to join in. Only a year later, Pastor Chrisdonne started his own church, recognizing a need as even more people began to join his family’s daily worship.
Please pray for faithfulness and growth in this church and the surrounding community. Worship is a priority for Pastor Chrisdonne, and he prays that his congregation would increase in their joy and love for the Lord.
